Officials in Broward County are developing plans to cope with an outbreak of swine influenza in the fall.

City and County area would be the centers of large quantities of medicines and medical equipment, including a vaccine against the H1N1 influenza virus spread to establish.

The outlets would be opened when health officials declared a public health emergency and decide to use strategic reserves of the nation in medicine. The Centers for Disease Control, large quantities of drugs to protect people if a terrorist attack, flu outbreak or natural disaster severe enough to be removed to local deliveries.

The county hopes that the site ready for possible applications in October. Distribution centers are comparable to those set by Hurricane Wilma in 2005 to distribute water, ice and other supplies for residents.

County Commissioners are designed to influence the course of the meeting will discuss on Tuesday.
